Dana Villas & Infinity Suites Santorini

After getting married in August this year, we visited Santorini and Dana’s Villas for the first time for our honeymoon. We could not have picked a better spot! Santorini itself is just so beautiful with the most breathtaking views and the most stunning sunsets.

We are so glad we picked Dana’s Villas to stay at. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more attentive. Our luggage was carried from the taxi (which the staff had organized to pick us up from the airport) down to our rooms. We were met with welcome drinks on the incredible terrace overlooking the beautiful Caldera. From there we were shown to our suite, the honeymoon pool suite. WOW – it was beautiful. The views, pool, terrace and room were incredible. The staff had thoughtfully placed rose petals on the bed and left a lovely note to welcome us. There was ambient music playing and we were brought a complimentary bottle of wine to our room. We instantly knew we had chosen the right place.

The team use WhatsApp as a way of communicating and would respond quickly to any messages we sent and and requests we made. They sent ideas for drinks, meals out and experiences such as catamaran cruises. This was also a really easy way to order breakfast, make reservations at the hotel and order room service.

We had a floating breakfast on our first morning, the food was delicious, good quality and well presented. The staff that brought this to the room were so lovely too. You could order as much as you wanted with no limits every day.

We spent lots of time in the room as the views were so stunning, the room so lovely with such great facilities and the weather perfect. It was such an ideal, romantic setting and I will never forget it. It really is our happy place!

We had a free welcome massage in the spa at the hotel which was great. The masseuse was very good and the spa was calm, clean and beautifully decorated like the inside of a cave.

The room had a great coffee machine, mini fridge, tv, Bluetooth speaker and free toiletries, robes and slippers. The bathroom was incredible too – it had twin showers, a seat and an entrance to our amazing infinity pool.

We loved the honeymoon suite as the pool had a private section inside with seats, lights and jets and then a tunnel leading outside to those stunning views. It was the most amazing room we have ever stayed in. We also loved the window between the pool and the room. We wish we could’ve stayed there forever!

Firostefani was a brilliant location to stay in. It wasn’t too busy and had a range of nice bars, restaurants and some shops. The views again were just phenomenal. It was well connected and central to other towns and every day we walked into Fira along a beautiful coastal path – it was stunning!

We would really recommend doing a catamaran cruise on your visit, we did one and it was such a great experience and way to see Santorini and it’s neighbouring islands in all their beauty.

We also stayed in a superior pool suite for the second part of our stay. This suite was also beautiful, had a great pool with amazing views and the same great facilities. The pool in this suite is bigger, however, we did prefer the terrace area of the honeymoon suite. The superior pool suite was amazing for sitting in the pool and watching the sun set in the evening, an unrivalled view in a beautiful setting.

We had a dinner on a ‘floating table’ in the hotel’s restaurant one evening. The food was incredible and the service was so good! The staff were very good humoured, attentive and took amazing photos too! This was a real highlight of the trip. The infinity pool has little sparking star lights when it gets dark and it was just such a beautiful setting.

To say we did not encounter one rude person on the whole of our trip is unheard of. The staff went above and beyond for us and the people of Santorini were all so lovely – it was a really nice atmosphere everywhere we went.

We had the best time and would love to come back to Dana’s Villas. We can’t say enough how amazing the staff were and how every need was catered for. The suites are incredible and the views sensational. Thank you Dana’s Villas – we had the most amazing, beautiful
trip with many memories which we treasure!
