Tsitouras Collection Santorini

Check-in: the hotel arranged pick up for us from the ferry port. This was such a huge bonus. It was great to not have to worry about transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel was about 20mins from the port. When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by George and Monji (sorry if I misspelled the names). We arrived early, so we appreciated being able to check-in early. We got a tour of the hotel and a brief history of the hotel too. Such a fascinating history! Once we arrived, Monji let us know how to order breakfast, how to do the wifi, where the refreshments were located, etc.

When we arrived, George made a reservation for us at a lovely restaurant for the evening – Onar. The service, food, and wine were delicious and the views from the restaurant were amazing as well!

Room: We booked the House of Portraits room and it was impeccable! We had a clear view of the caldera right outside on the terrace. Words cannot describe the beauty. The room was beautifully decorated, plenty of A/C (Greece is hot in the summer), superbly clean, and the wifi worked great. We had sodas, beer, and wine in the minibar.

The bathrooms are updated and very clean, and lovely. Our room was cleaned every day and the housekeeper, Lucille, was a lovely and friendly woman who always had a smile on her face. Thank you so much, Lucille!

We also scheduled an in-room massage, which was wonderful!

Location: I can’t say enough about the location. The views are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life. There were beautiful, clear views of the Caldera right outside of our room. It was breathtaking.

Dining: We had breakfast each morning, and it was absolutely delicious! There had meats, cheeses, eggs, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruits, omelets, fresh-squeezed orange juice. Breakfast was served on the terrace every morning and I couldn’t imagine waking up to anything better than that. We also had sunset drinks every evening. We booked a rooftop Greek tasting for one evening, and it was such a remarkable culinary experience. The service and the food were 5-star!

Pool: The pool is on the roof and it’s very much a relaxing and peaceful area. The view from the pool, again, is breathtaking. We had some rooftop drinks while up there. It was paradise.

Service: We cannot thank George, Monji, Lucille and the rest of the staff enough for making our trip one of the most memorable we have ever had. The service was 5-star. They were there to help us with whatever we needed. They were kind, friendly, professional, and made us feel like family. They all deserve all the praise for making the Tsitouras a truly magical place to be. I cannot possibly capture all the things we loved in this one review.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I will return to the Tsitouras any time I return to Santorini.
